To participate for the entire event, you must be, either:
- in high school;
- high school-aged; or,
- in college, and 21 or under.
Middle school students can attend for the day, but not the overnight portion of CodeDay. Middle school students must be picked up between 8-10pm, and can return after 7am. (Special arrangements may be possible for school groups attending with chaperones; contact firstname.lastname@example.org.)
Please note that, for security reasons, parents will not be able to attend with their students.
I'm younger than the age range. Can I still go?
Parents of elementary school students with an established interest in CS can contact us to request special permission to attend. In your request, please indicate how your student has demonstrated both:
- prior interest in CS; and,
- that they have the maturity to work on a self-directed project for several hours
I'm older than the age range. Can I still go?
CodeDay is designed for younger students, and over time we have found the atmosphere is not appropriate for older students.
College students who are older than 21, but younger than 25 may contact us to request special permission to attend. In your request, please indicate why you think CodeDay would be a good fit for you. (We do not need to know why you are an older student specifically.)
For security reasons, we cannot accept students older than 25, or non-students above high school age.
